DUTY DANCE
Launch Short Formats, eighth SHORT FORMATS
edition, the historic international festival of new dance, created and designed by the CRT, will come in 2007 in its eighth edition. Conforms to a tradition which has always the quality of proposals and the attention towards the new generations and new expressions choreographic performances, the festival will take place this year to reflect focus on artists who work on "intermittent" border line between dance and other arts such as music, theater, storytelling, visual arts and cinema. Within this idea, which we consider essential in the development of young contemporary dance in Italy and abroad, SHORT FORMATS present an overview of selected groups in national and international context that most stood out for quality, seriousness and intensity. They include the world premieres of Scarlini Luca Luisa Cortesi and with Close your eyes and those of Daria Deflorian and Alessandra Cristiani with Melee . Also important, both in national first, the performance of Portuguese Victor Hugo Pontes and Lebanese Danya Hammoud . Still Francesca Proia, a veteran of the significant experience the Societas Raffaello Sanzio, the OOFFOURO , Antonio Tagliarini , Cosmetics, Building Patient , Nanou Group, the turkish Mustafa Kaplan, Paola Bianchi and Underground Theatre. As always, the festival will host workshops, workshops, meetings with artists and, important news, a laboratory for analysis and critical journalism in collaboration with the University of Milan and the magazine of the CRT Cenalora. Inside the exhibition will be held also a meeting of representatives of the National Board of networks and regional coordination of contemporary dance.
